Great Dane Puppies

Kris writes 'I have been totally in love (some would say obsessed!) with the Great Dane breed since a small child, and vowed the minute I was old enough I would have one'.  Whilst planning the first one, a beautiful Blue named 'Trubble' - I decided that showing and breeding would be a great hobby to enjoy with my new pet.  And so it began......

Trubble was not the most successful of show dogs.  She did qualify for Crufts (quite a feat in those days when it was held in Earls Court, and to keep numbers down the Kennel Club made qualification very dificult - especially to a total novice owner with a 'colour' - i,e, in those days - anything other than fawn!!).  Trubble even won a Best in Show or two, but she had too much white on her having white on all paws and on her chest.

Trubble later went on to grace me with the first 'Dainoak' litter - of which I kept a Blue bitch 'Dainoak Debut' aka Kaos, whose litter brother went on to become an International Champion, Reserve World Champion, and won 3 Best In Shows all breeds at International level.  Not a bad first litter really, and so the 'Dainoak' line was born.

Later Blacks were also incorporated into the Blue line, and then I decided to embark upon Harlequins - a totally new and exciting concept.

'Bebe' was a Harlequin bred Black, a pick of litter daughter from Champion Allours Angelica, and when mated to German Import Nathan Rekener Harlekin of Allours - she produced not only my first Harlie litter - but my first Harlequin Champion.  'Davidson', aka Champion Dainoak Veni Vidi Vici, who managed to win 11 Best In Shows, Top UK Harlequin for 5 consecutive years, Top Veteran - and the best friend anyone could have - my soulmate.

All of our Harlequin pedigree's go back to Davidson.

I'm now looking to the future with his Great Grandchildren - Vinnie, Hagar and Venus.
